In Saturday's non-league match, the host Susquehanna Sabers football squad scored a close 25-21 victory over the Dunmore Bucks.
The Sabers (2-1) will now prepare for their match against Holy Redeemer (Wilkes-Barre, PA). The Royals enter the non-league match with a 0-3 record. In their last match, Holy Redeemer was nudged by Carbondale Area (Carbondale, PA), 45-7, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Bucks confront the Lackawanna Trail Lions (Factoryville, PA) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 13. Dunmore will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 35-0 non-league win over Berwick (Berwick, PA).
