Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team tip the host Medomak Valley Panthers (Waldoboro, ME), 14-8 in a league battle.

With the win, Hermon improves its record to 1-0 on the season. The Hawks host Messalonskee (Oakland, ME) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, September 13. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 0-1. Messalonskee lost 33-27 in their recent league battle against Cony (Augusta, ME)

The Panthers now have a 0-1 record. They play next when they travel to Nokomis for a C North battle on Saturday, September 14. Medomak Valley will play a Warriors team coming off a 22-14 non-league win over John Bapst Memorial (Bangor, ME). The Warriors record now stands at 2-0.
