The New Brighton Lions football team (New Brighton, PA), was crushed 39-7 in Saturday's non-league bout with the visiting Northgate Flames (Pittsburgh, PA)

With the win, Northgate advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Flames host Shenango (New Castle, PA) to encounter the Wildcats in a WPIAL A Big 7 bout on Friday, September 13. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Shenango lost 9-7 in their recent non-league bout against New Brighton (New Brighton, PA)
