Jacobs Golden Eagles (Algonquin, IL) followers went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their flag football team triumph over the visiting Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL), 34-0 in a league battle.

With the win, Jacobs advances its record to 5-0 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Bartlett (Bartlett, IL) to play the Hawks in a battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Hawks go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Bartlett lost 38-0 in their recent non-league battle against McHenry (McHenry, IL)

The Maroons now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to South Elgin for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 7. Elgin will battle a Storm squad coming off a 30-6 non-league loss to Antioch (Antioch, IL). The Storm record now stands at 1-2.
