Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) backers left the game pleased Saturday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA), 9-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Lowndes upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Vikings host Camden County (Kingsland, GA) to play the Wildcats in a 6A Region 1 game on Tuesday, September 10. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 10-4.

The Raiders now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Veterans for a non-league game on Monday, September 9. West Laurens will play a Warhawks squad coming off a 8-2 league loss to Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA). The Warhawks record now stands at 11-2.
