In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Slocomb Red Tops volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Ariton Purple Cats.

The Red Tops (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashford (Ashford, AL). The Yellowjackets come into the 4A Area 3 challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Ashford lost by Northside Methodist Academy (Dothan, AL), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Purple Cats play the New Brockton Gamecocks (New Brockton, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, September 9. Ariton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Gamecocks come into the challenge with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 league loss to Straughn (Andalusia, AL).
