In Saturday's league challenge, the host Pierce County Bears volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Cook Hornets.
The Bears (19-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Savannah Arts Academy (Savannah, GA). The Panthers come into the 2A Area 3 challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Savannah Arts Academy beat P.K. Yonge (Gainesville, FL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Hornets play the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) in a 2A Area 3 challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Cook will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 2-1 non-league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA).
