In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Essex Trojans volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Diagonal Maroons.

The Trojans (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Sidney (Sidney, IA). The Cowboys come into the challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Sidney beat Stanton (Stanton, IA), 3-2, in a league challenge.

Next, the Maroons meet the Ankeny Christian Academy (Ankeny, IA) in a challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Diagonal will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
