The Gloria Deo Academy Lions topped the host Providence Catholic Provets volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Next up, the Lions confront the Salem Sayers Baptist Academy (Adkins, TX) in a non-league game, on Monday, September 9. Gloria Deo Academy will attempt to advance on its 13-6 season record. The go into the game with a 0-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Town East Christian (San Antonio, TX).

The Provets (2-9) will now prepare for their game against TMI-Episcopal (San Antonio, TX). The Panthers go into the TAPPS 5A District 4 game with a 9-0 record. In their last game, TMI-Episcopal gained a win over Central Texas Christian (Temple, TX), 2-0, in a non-league game.
