In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Powder Valley Badgers volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Grant Union Prospectors.

The Badgers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Weston-McEwen (Athena, OR). The TigerScots come into the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Weston-McEwen was nudged by South Wasco County (Maupin, OR), 3-2, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Prospectors play the Stanfield Tigers (Stanfield, OR) in a 2A Blue Mountain challenge, on Thursday, September 12. Grant Union will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 1-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Salem Academy (Salem, OR).
