In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Riceville Wildcats volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the Mason City Mohawks.

The Wildcats (2-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Janesville (Janesville, IA). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Janesville beat Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA), 2-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Mohawks meet the Fort Dodge Dodgers (Fort Dodge, IA) in a Southeast challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Mason City will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Dodgers go into the battle with a 1-5 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Lincoln (Des Moines, IA).
