The Munford Lions edged the host St. Clair County Fighting Saints volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league game.
Next up, the Lions face the Cleburne County Tigers (Heflin, AL) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 10. Munford will attempt to advance on its 7-2 season record. The Tigers go into the game with a 4-8 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Pell City (Pell City, AL).
The Fighting Saints (4-10) will now prepare for their game against Boaz (Boaz, AL). The Pirates go into the non-league contest with a 8-9 record. In their last contest, Boaz was tipped by Albertville (Albertville, AL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
