Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Sprague Olympians (Salem, OR) and the host Nelson (Happy Valley, OR), observed Sprague's volleyball team hold off Nelson by a tally of 2-1.

The Olympians (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Jesuit (Portland, OR). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Jesuit got by Glencoe (Hillsboro, OR), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the meet the Gresham Gophers (Gresham, OR) in a 6A Mt. Hood contest, on Tuesday, September 10. Nelson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record. The Gophers enter the contest with a 1-3 record after their 3-1 league loss to Clackamas (Clackamas, OR).
