Wisconsin High School Volleyball - Stevens Point tips Newman

In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Stevens Point Panthers volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Newman Fighting Cardinals.

The Panthers (16-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Wisconsin Rapids, WI). The Red Raiders enter the Wisconsin Valley challenge with a 6-5 record. In their last challenge, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln got by Wausau East (Wausau, WI), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Cardinals meet the Stratford Tigers (Stratford, WI) in a Marawood - South challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Newman will attempt to upgrade on its 9-6 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 3-1 non-league win over Pittsville (Pittsville, WI).
