With the win, West Jones improves its record to 10-7 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Jim Hill (Jackson, MS) to encounter the Tigers in a Class 6A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Tigers go into the battle with a record of 6-7.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pearl River Central for a Class 6A Region 3 battle on Tuesday, September 10. Terry will encounter a Blue Devils squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Jim Hill (Jackson, MS). The Blue Devils record now stands at 1-10.
