In Thursday's non-league battle, the host Downtown Doral Dolphins volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Academy for Innovative Education Aviators.

The Dolphins (2-0) will now prepare for their battle against Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood, FL). The Lions come into the battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Chaminade-Madonna was edged by American Heritage (Plantation, FL), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Aviators encounter the Greater Miami Academy Warriors (Miami, FL) in a non-league battle, on Monday, September 19. Academy for Innovative Education will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record.
