In Thursday's league battle, the host Althoff Catholic Crusaders soccer squad scored a close 6-1 triumph over the Marion Wildcats.
The Crusaders (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Bishop DuBourg (St. Louis, MO). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 3-2 record.
The Wildcats (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Murphysboro (Murphysboro, IL). The Red Devils come into the non-league battle with a 9-1 record. In their last battle, Murphysboro nudged Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL), 8-0, in a non-league battle.
