Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Philipsburg-Osceola nudges Bald Eagle Area

Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers (Philipsburg, PA) fans were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Bald Eagle Area Bald Eagles (Wingate, PA), 3-2 in a league challenge.

Next, the Mountaineers confront the Tyrone Golden Eagles (Tyrone, PA) in a Mountain League challenge, on Monday, September 12. Philipsburg-Osceola will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 3-1 league loss to Penns Valley Area (Spring Mills, PA).

The Bald Eagles now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Clearfield for a Mountain - Allegheny challenge on Monday, September 12. Bald Eagle Area will confront a Bison team coming off a 6-0 league loss to Hollidaysburg (Hollidaysburg, PA). The Bison record now stands at 1-2.
