With the triumph, Heard County moves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Braves host Cedartown (Cedartown, GA) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Friday, September 9. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 4-8. Cedartown lost 12-0 in their recent league contest against Central (Carrollton, GA)

In their next game, the Trojans play the Temple Tigers (Temple, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 4 contest, on Tuesday, September 13. Lamar County will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record.
