In Thursday's league battle, the visiting Jacobs Golden Eagles volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Central Rockets.

The Golden Eagles (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Cary-Grove (Cary, IL). The Trojans come into the Fox Valley battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, Cary-Grove was edged by Huntley (Huntley, IL), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next, the Rockets encounter the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, September 10. Central will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 3-8 record after their 2-1 league win over Antioch (Antioch, IL).
