The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) and the visiting Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX), saw Hardin-Jefferson's volleyball squad beat Silsbee by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Hardin-Jefferson upgrades its record to 17-12 on the year. The Hawks travel to Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Friday, September 9. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 5-11.

The Tigers now own a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to West Brook for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 10. Silsbee will play a Bruins squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Summer Creek (Houston, TX). The Bruins record now stands at 13-12.
