The Weldon Chargers (Weldon, NC) volleyball overcame the host Wilson Prep Tigers (Wilson, NC), 3-1 in Thursday's league outing.

With the win, Weldon betters its record to 4-1 on the year. The Chargers host Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC) to face the Jaguars in a Tar Roanoke 1A outing on Tuesday, September 13. The Jaguars go into the outing with a record of 0-5. Rocky Mount Prep lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against KIPP Pride (Gaston, NC)

The Tigers now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Warren County for a Tar Roanoke 1A outing on Tuesday, September 13. Wilson Prep will face a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Vance County (Henderson, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 7-0.
