The Peru Nighthawks football squad scored 33 points and limited the host Beekmantown Eagles to 17 in the Nighthawks league win on Friday.

The Nighthawks now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they host Plattsburgh for a Section 7 battle on Friday, September 15. Peru will play a Hornets squad coming off a 28-12 league loss to Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY). The Hornets record now stands at 0-2.

Coming up next, the Eagles play the Moriah Vikings (Port Henry, NY) in a Section 7 battle, on Friday, September 15. Beekmantown will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Vikings go into the battle with a 2-0 record after their 32-6 league win over AuSable Valley (Clintonville, NY).
