In Friday's league match, the host Ritchie County Rebels football squad scored a close 34-32 victory over the South Harrison Hawks.

In their next game, the Rebels clash with the Williamstown Yellowjackets (Williamstown, WV) in a Little Kanawha match, on Friday, September 15. Ritchie County will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a 3-0 record after their 56-21 league win over Wirt County (Elizabeth, WV).

The Hawks (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Webster County (Upper Glade, WV). The Highlanders enter the Little Kanawha match with a 2-1 record.
