Grove Ridgerunners (Grove, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Sequoyah Indians (Tahlequah, OK), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Ridgerunners now sport a 10-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fairland for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 8. Grove will face a Owls squad coming off a 7-4 non-league win over Oktaha (Oktaha, OK). The Owls record now stands at 13-5.

With the loss, Sequoyah falls to 23-7 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Kansas (Kansas, OK) to face the Comets in a 3A challenge on Monday, September 11. The Comets enter the challenge with a record of 17-16. Kansas won 8-5 in their recent league challenge against Chelsea (Chelsea, OK)
