Kickapoo Chiefs (Springfield, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Neosho Wildcats (Neosho, MO), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Chiefs now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kearney for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Kickapoo will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Eureka (Eureka, MO). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Neosho falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Glendale (Springfield, MO) to face the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Glendale lost 20-5 in their recent non-league challenge against Jackson (Jackson, MO)
