The Alton Redbirds volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Granite City Warriors to 1 in the Redbirds non-league victory on Friday.
The Redbirds now have a 4-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Notre Dame for a non-league game on Saturday, September 9.
The Warriors (2-10) will now prepare for their game against Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL). The Hawks enter the non-league game with a 8-3 record. In their last game, Gibault Catholic nipped Okawville (Okawville, IL), 2-1, in a non-league game.
