The Ayer Shirley Panthers held off the visiting St. Bernard's Central Catholic Bernardians volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's non-league test.

The Panthers now have a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marlborough for a Midland-Wachusett B test on Tuesday, September 12. Ayer Shirley will confront a Panthers team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Assabet Valley RVT (Marlborough, MA). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

The Bernardians (0-1) will now prepare for their test against South Lancaster Academy (South Lancaster, MA). The Crusaders enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record.
