Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Gilmer Buckeyes (Gilmer, TX) in a 4A Region III District 17 contest, on Tuesday, September 12. Carthage will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Buckeyes come into the contest with a 16-15 record after their 3-1 league loss to Henderson (Henderson, TX).

The Roughriders now own a 12-14 record. They play next when they host Woodville for a non-league outing on Tuesday, September 12. Center will face a Eagles squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 4-8.
