The Lamar Texans volleyball team (Houston, TX), was dropped 3-1 in Friday's league challenge with the host Heights Bulldogs (Houston, TX)

The Bulldogs (8-16) will now prepare for their challenge against Bellaire (Bellaire, TX). The Cardinals enter the 6A Region III District 18 challenge with a 10-15 record. In their last challenge, Bellaire was dropped by St. Agnes Academy (Houston, TX), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Texans meet the Westside Wolves (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 18 challenge, on Tuesday, September 12. Lamar will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 8-8 record after their 3-0 league win over Chavez (Houston, TX).
