The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) volleyball got by the visiting North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC), 2-1 in Monday's non-league battle.

With the victory, Alleghany moves its record to 3-5 on the year. The Trojans host Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to meet the Eagles in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Eagles enter the contest with a record of 4-7. Wilkes Central won 2-0 in their recent non-league contest against Hibriten (Lenoir, NC)

Next, the Greyhounds meet the Mount Airy Granite Bears (Mount Airy, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, September 9. North Surry will attempt to move on its 5-5 season record.
