In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Madison County Mountaineers volleyball team scored a 2-0 triumph over the William Monroe Dragons.
The Mountaineers (4-1) will now prepare for their test against Clarke County (Berryville, VA). The Eagles go into the non-league test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Clarke County went down by Skyline (Front Royal, VA), 2-1, in a non-league test.
The Dragons now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Orange County for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 9. William Monroe will play a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 0-3.
