The Summit Charter Bears (Cashiers, NC) soccer nipped the host Blue Ridge Early College Bobcats (Cashiers, NC), 1-0 in Monday's league battle.

The Bears (1-1) will now prepare for their battle against Hayesville (Hayesville, NC). The Yellowjackets enter the Smoky Mountain 1A/2A battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, Hayesville was edged by Highlands (Highlands, NC), 3-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bobcats battle the Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) in a Smoky Mountain 1A/2A battle, on Monday, September 15. Blue Ridge Early College will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Maroon Devils enter the battle with a 1-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to Andrews (Andrews, NC).
