The North Duplin Rebels soccer squad scored 4 points and held the visiting East Columbus Gators to 3 in the Rebels league victory on Monday.

The Rebels now hold a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a Carolina 1A/2A bout on Wednesday, September 10. North Duplin will play a Spartans squad coming off a 9-0 league win over West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 4-3.

With the loss, East Columbus moves to 2-2 on the year. The Gators travel to South Columbus (Tabor City, NC) to play the Stallions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 10. The Stallions go into the bout with a record of 0-7. South Columbus lost 5-0 in their recent non-league bout against East Bladen (Elizabethtown, NC)
