Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) boosters exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting West Columbus Vikings (Cerro Gordo, NC), 9-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Union moves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Spartans host North Duplin (Calypso, NC) to confront the Rebels in a Carolina 1A/2A outing on Wednesday, September 10. The Rebels go into the outing with a record of 1-1. North Duplin won 4-3 in their recent league outing against East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC)

Next up, the Vikings confront the Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC) in a Carolina 1A/2A outing, on Wednesday, September 10. West Columbus will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Leopards go into the outing with a 0-7 record after their 5-1 league loss to Hobbton (Newton Grove, NC).
