The Hurricanes (6-6) will now prepare for their match against Banks County (Homer, GA). The Leopards come into the non-league match with a 12-2 record. In their last match, Banks County nipped Rabun County (Tiger, GA), 12-3, in a league match.

In their next game, the Tigers confront the Jackson County Panthers (Jefferson, GA) in a 5A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, September 9. Alcovy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 11-1 league win over Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA).
