In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Lone Grove Longhorns softball team scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Byng Pirates.

The Longhorns (19-3) will now prepare for their match against Plainview (Ardmore, OK). The Indians go into the non-league match with a 15-4 record. In their last match, Plainview was routed by Blanchard (Blanchard, OK), 10-0, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Pirates play the Sulphur Bulldogs (Sulphur, OK) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 9. Byng will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 10-6 record after their 14-4 league win over Madill (Madill, OK).
