With the triumph, Caney Valley improves its record to 12-5 on the season. The Trojans host Oktaha (Oktaha, OK) to battle the Tigers in a 2A match on Tuesday, September 9. The Tigers come into the match with a record of 18-1.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Miami Wardogs (Miami, OK) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, September 9. Skiatook will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Wardogs enter the game with a 10-4 record after their 1-0 non-league loss to Oologah (Oologah, OK).
