In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Peachtree Ridge Lions softball team scored a tight 7-3 win over the Collins Hill Eagles.

The Lions (4-10) will now prepare for their match against North Gwinnett (Suwanee, GA). The Bulldogs come into the 6A Region 7 match with a 12-2 record. In their last match, North Gwinnett was routed by Pope (Marietta, GA), 12-5, in a non-league match.

Next up, the Eagles play the Mountain View Bears (Lawrenceville, GA) in a 6A Region 8 game, on Tuesday, September 9. Collins Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 7-10 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 5-8 record after their 10-5 non-league win over Duluth (Duluth, GA).
