The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Marion County won 18-4 in their recent non-league bout against Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA)

In their next game, the Jaguars clash with the Trinity Christian Lions (Sharpsburg, GA) in a 3A Region 2 bout, on Tuesday, September 9. Spalding will attempt to improve on its 9-7 season record. The Lions enter the contest with a 5-5 record after their 6-1 league win over LaGrange (LaGrange, GA).
