The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Woodland Cougars (Fairfax, OK) and the visiting Depew Hornets (Depew, OK), observed Woodland's softball team get by Depew by a tally of 6-2.

The Cougars (6-13) will now prepare for their bout against Caney Valley (Ramona, OK). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 12-5 record. In their last contest, Caney Valley was routed by Oktaha (Oktaha, OK), 15-0, in a league contest.

The Hornets now hold a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Olive for a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 9. Depew will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Hominy (Hominy, OK). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-11.
