The Wilcox County Patriots routed the visiting Johnson County Trojans softball team by a margin of 11-5 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Patriots now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Montgomery County for a 1A D-II Region 4 outing on Tuesday, September 9. Wilcox County will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 19-1 non-league loss to Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 4-12.

With the loss, Johnson County drops to 5-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Glascock County (Gibson, GA) to meet the Panthers in a 1A D-II Region 5 test on Thursday, September 11. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 7-8. Glascock County lost 11-6 in their recent league test against Georgia Military College (Milledgeville, GA)
