Turner County Titans (Ashburn, GA) backers left the game pleased Monday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Mitchell County Eagles (Camilla, GA), 31-17 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Turner County upgrades its record to 2-9 on the year. The Titans travel to Irwin County (Ocilla, GA) to play the Indians in a 1A D-II Region 2 game on Tuesday, September 9. The Indians enter the game with a record of 10-2. Irwin County won 6-1 in their recent non-league match against Valwood (Valdosta, GA)

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Early County Bobcats (Blakely, GA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 17. Mitchell County will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record.
