In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Abingdon Falcons volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Marion Scarlet Hurricanes.

The Falcons (9-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA). The Wolfpack come into the non-league challenge with a 10-1 record. In their last challenge, Ridgeview beat Gate City (Gate City, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Scarlet Hurricanes play the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, September 10. Marion will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Cavaliers go into the game with a 1-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA).
