Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Augusta Prep Cavaliers (Augusta, GA) and the host Wardlaw Academy Patriots (Johnston, SC), observed Augusta Prep's volleyball team hold off Wardlaw Academy by a count of 2-1.

The Cavaliers (11-8) will now prepare for their contest against Gatewood (Eatonton, GA). The Gators enter the GIAA 4AA contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Gatewood was tipped by Jasper County (Monticello, GA), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Patriots battle the Anderson Christian Lions (Anderson, SC) in a SCISA A Region III contest, on Tuesday, September 9. Wardlaw Academy will attempt to move on its 6-2 season record.
