The Wilkes Central Eagles prevailed the visiting Hibriten Panthers volleyball team by a margin of 3-0 in Monday's non-league outing.
The Eagles now possess a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Alleghany for a Mountain Valley 2A/3A/4A match on Tuesday, September 9. Wilkes Central will confront a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-9.
The Panthers (3-8) will now prepare for their match against R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC). The Hilltoppers enter the Western Piedmont 3A/4A match with a 4-7 record. In their last bout, R-S Central defeated Shelby (Shelby, NC), 2-0, in a non-league bout.
