The Melbourne Bearkatz volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Highland Rebels to 0 in the Bearkatz non-league triumph on Monday.
The Bearkatz now have a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Bergman for a 3A 2 outing on Tuesday, September 9. Melbourne will play a Panthers squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Salem (Salem, AR). The Panthers record now stands at 4-1.
The Rebels (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Westside (Jonesboro, AR). The Warriors go into the 4A 3 game with a 5-0 record. In their last game, Westside gained a win over Wynne (Wynne, AR), 3-0, in a non-league game.
