In Monday's league challenge, the host Loyd Star Hornets volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Wilkinson County Wildcats.
The Hornets (10-6) will now prepare for their game against Jefferson County (Fayette, MS). The Tigers go into the non-league game with a 5-7 record. In their last game, Jefferson County went down by Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS), 3-0, in a league game.
The Wildcats (0-4) will now prepare for their game against Amite County (Liberty, MS). The Trojans go into the Class 2A Region 7 game with a 0-11 record.
