The Martin County Cardinals volleyball team (Inez, KY), was beaten 3-1 in Monday's non-league challenge with the host Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY)

The Hawks (7-5) will now prepare for their test against East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY). The Warriors go into the non-league test with a 2-5 record.

The Cardinals now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host June Buchanan for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. Martin County will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Magoffin County (Salyersville, KY). The Crusaders record now stands at 3-8.
