Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) and the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), observed Russell's volleyball team top West Carter by a tally of 3-0.

The Red Devils (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Boyd County (Ashland, KY). The Lions go into the non-league test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Boyd County achieved victory over Raceland (Raceland, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Comets now own a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morgan County for a District 62 test on Tuesday, September 9. West Carter will meet a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Rose Hill Christian (Ashland, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 2-5.
